Final Batman v Superman Trailer Review/Breakdown

Rumors have been going around for about a month now (since the Dawn of the Justice League CW special event) that there's going to be a new Batman v Superman trailer. People were divided whether they actually need one or not after the not-so-good and arguably too-revealing last trailer, and I for the most part, didn't really want one. Frankly not for anything other than I'm already convinced since day 1 that this movie is going to be awesome and I don't really need any more persuasion. However, the moment I saw that that the trailer just dropped, I didn't hesitate once to check it out. Now that I checked it, I am extremely satisfied and not regretting anything at all, so let's talk about this!
I'm mainly going to talk about the new footage that this trailer provides, so there's a little chance that I'll talk about the old scenes and shots we've seen before.

So for the first 30 seconds or so, the trailer focuses on Bruce Wayne, and specifically what he does at night. We see that Alfred is talking to him while piloting the Batwing and overall helping him out in the field in his own way. Have we ever seen this before? The closest we've got to more-that-just-a-regular-butler Alfred was with Michael Caine, and while he did a phenomenal job, he didn't really help Bruce/Batman out with things other than advises, concerns, or that one time when he lifted that log of wood that trapped Bruce down in Batman Begins. With this Alfred though, we see that he's heavily helping him with field tasks such as thermal scan to the building, and piloting the Batwing. Batman ain't got time for that!

As if Batman's gonna show up at the front door. Idiots.
When Batman gets out of the Batwing though, Alfred takes a step back and it's Batsy's time to shine, and man did he shine. The moment he gets into that building we know that these people are gonna end up regretting going wrong with their lives, but I guess they didn't know that. We see Batman just kicking, punching, flipping, disarming, and putting people's heads through boxes, walls, and floor (jack up the bass while watching this scene, you'll feel sorry for them).

So not only is this the black and gray suit we've always wanted,
but it's also knife-proof? Snyder, just take my money!
Guillermo Grispo, the fight choreographer and stunts director for the movie said in an interview before that we are going to see Batman fight in a way no one has seen before on the big screen, and I'm pretty sure he wasn't lying. While I do like Christian Bale's Batman, his fights always consisted of 2 or 3 moves that he mixed and matched over and over, and this is completely different obviously.
That being said though, if this is the only scene where Batman if fighting people other than Superman, it's a really bad choice for DC/WB to give it away in a trailer.
"Even you are too old to die young, not for lack of trying", well hello there classic sarcastic Alfred that we all love!
After that there's a few shots and footage that we've already seen before, but after Luthor finishes his line, we're shown new footage again! It's mainly Batman fighting Superman, so we see Superman taking Batman in his power suit and flying him through a building. I have to say just a quick thing though about Superman; for a man/alien who's trying to convince the government and Batman that him destroying the city and its buildings wasn't his fault, he's doing an extremely lousy job. Now that this is out of the way, I'll continue with the trailer.
There's a quick shot of Batman again fighting the gang, but this time he's using his Batarang to disarm the guy's gun. It reminds me so much of the Arkham games because it's probably the only media where this move is most famous.
Batman fires a gun at superman, and the bullet looks rubber-ish, but then I remembered that the only gun that Batman has in this movie is a grenade launcher, so, I'm sorry Superman, but this is probably gonna hurt in a second.
More Batman fighting Superman. Superman stops his kick then punches him and bla bla bla. Then, finally, for the first time, the very first time and we're just a month away from the movie and over a year after the first teaser trailer hitting us, we hear Diana Prince/Wonder Woman talk. For anyone who still doesn't buy her as a character, there are two reasons: something's wrong with you, or you don't know who this character is. First of all, Gadot seems to be doing a great job hiding her accent, because her English is heavily affected by her native language. If you heard her in any interviews or seen her in other movies (Fast 4 and Furious 5 are her most known works) you'll hear that she definitely has a different accent in here. We see in the next shot her as Wonder Woman behind her shield, then taking a leap to attack someone/something/supposedly Doomsday/Something that doesn't look like anything other than Doomsday.
Did you see how Superman just pushed Batman away about 20 feet without breaking a sweat? Cause that was rad!
A bunch of old footage again appears, but then, this happens.

DARK SEID IS COMING, you know, eventually. Sooner or
later
The other photo that was of and in this same setting didn't show much other than the Omega sign (hinting Darkseid) and Batman looking at the horizon. In the trailer though, this is the whole shot that we see, and this is clearly not just some desert, this is definitely Apokolips, which confirms more that this isn't a nightmare, it's a vision that Batman is seeing for some reason, or Darkseif is sending it to him, who knows?
And then, the money shot of money shots!
And at this moment, Superman knew he was f-ed
Okay so for all of you who were doubting Batman and questioning how can he possibly defeat Superman or saying that Batman doesn't have any superpowers, he'll be dead in a second or whatnot, I hope this shot proved you wrong. See, Batman does have a superpower, it's called a brain (and an enormous wealth, but mostly the brain). He knows that he can't possibly defeat Superman with his regular crime-fighting suit, that's why he is wearing this one! Now, Zack Snyder, the director of the movie, said that the suit is mainly to defend Batman from Superman more than it is for attacking him, and we can clearly see that here and in an earlier very brief and quick shot in the trailer, so my question is what is Batman's strategy to win the fight, or at least have the upper hand? Cause even with the suit he can't knock Superman completely down, so I guess we'll find out when we see the movie, and oh my God I'm so excited!!

Something really quick that I have to mention. The music in this trailer is from the actual soundtrack and score of the movie brought to us by Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL. This is the 3rd preview of it so to speak, but the first preview is one that they released a while back. Here's Preview 1 and Preview 2 if you haven't heard them, they're pretty cool.

What about you guys? Are you excited? Did I miss something in the trailer? And who's side are you on? Batman or Superman? Let me know in the comments below, and if you like this, share it with your friends! ☺
