Movies to look forward to in February 2016

January isn't really the best month in which movies come out. It is mostly known among movie critics, reviewers, and fans that when a movie is scheduled to come out in January, it's probably not going to be good. However, that month is now over!
Now that we're in February, there are some good movies on the horizon that look pretty good, and here are some (sorted by release date)

1) Hail, Ceasar! February 5th 2016 | PG-13 | Comedy, Drama, Musical


The movie tells the comedic tale of Eddie Mannix, a fixer who worked for the Hollywood studios in the 1950s. The story finds him at work when a star mysteriously disappears in the middle of filming. 



Starring: Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, and Channing Tatum.

2) Pride and Prejudice and Zombies February 5th 2016 | PG-13 | Action, Horror, Romance

The movie is an adaptation of a book with the same name. It tells the romantic story of two lovers from different social classes in 19th century England. 
As the zombie outbreak intensifies, they must swallow their pride and join forces on the blood-soaked battlefield in order to conquer the undead once and for all.

3) The Choice February 5th 2016 | PG-13 | Drama, Romance

By now, we are used to having at least one Nicholas Sparks book adaptation, and this year it's The Choice, adapted from the book by the same name. The movie tells 
the story of a long love affair that begins when Travis Parker and Gabby Holland first met as neighbors in a small coastal town and end up pursuing a relationship that neither could have foreseen. It spans a decade and traces the evolution of a love affair that is ultimately tested by life’s most defining events.

4) Deadpool February 12th 2016 | R | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

The comic book movie genre starts in 2016 with Deadpool! He is a former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

5) How to be Single February 12th 2016 | R | Comedy, Romance

New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, and what Alice, Robin, Lucy, Meg, Tom and David all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love.

6) Zoolander 2 February 12th 2016 | PG-13 | Comedy

The 2001's hit comedy Zoolander finally got a sequel!
 
Set 10 years later and mostly set in Europe, Derek and Hansel lives have changed and they're not relevant anymore in the fashion world. An opposing company attempts to take them out from the business.

Kristen Wiig, Penelope Cruz, and Will Ferrell.



7) Race February 19th 2016 | PG-13 | Biography, Drama, Sport

Race is based on the incredible true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary athletic superstar whose quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy. Race is an enthralling film about courage, determination, tolerance, and friendship, and an inspiring drama about one man’s fight to become an Olympic legend.

8) Risen February 19th 2016 | PG-13 | Action, Adventure, Drama

Risen is the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection and the weeks that followed, as seen through the eyes of an unbelieving Clavius, a high-ranking Roman Military Tribune. Clavius and his aide Lucius are instructed by Pontius Pilate to ensure Jesus’ radical followers don’t steal his body and claim resurrection. When the body goes missing within days, Clavius sets out on a mission to locate the missing body in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

9) Eddie the Eagle February 26th 2016 | No rating available | Biography, Drama, History


Like The Race, Eddie the Eagle is also inspired by true events. 
Eddie the Eagle is a feel-good story about Michael "Eddie" Edwards, an unlikely but courageous British ski-jumper who never stopped believing in himself - even as an entire nation was counting him out. With the help of a rebellious and charismatic coach, Eddie takes on the establishment and wins the hearts of sports fans around the world by making an improbable and historic showing at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.

10) Gods of Egypt February 26th 2016 | PG-13 | Adventure, Fantasy

11) Triple 9 February 26th | R | Crime, Thriller

In Triple 9, a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.
